What is Medicare Advantage?

You have the choice to get your Medicare benefits through Original Medicare, or a Medicare Advantage Plan (like an HMO or PPO). If you have Original Medicare, the government pays for your Medicare benefits when you use them. Medicare Advantage in Las Vegas is offered by private insurance companies who are approved by Medicare. Medicare then pays the insurance company to cover your Medicare benefits. If you join a Medicare Advantage Plan, the insurance company will cover all of your Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) coverage. Your Medicare Advantage plan may also give you prescription drug coverage or other benefits like dental, vision, and transportation coverage.

What are my options for Medicare Advantage?

When it comes to Medicare Advantage in Las Vegas, you can choose between Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs), and Special Needs Plans (SNPs) which are a variation on an HMO.
